Andrew Shipp is a born and bred Queenslander, living in Gympie Queensland. His early years were in Chinchilla where he developed a taste for the country lifestyle and though he was never a farmer, Andrew still likes to call himself a country boy. With a beautiful wife who he met in his Dad's church and 3 beautiful kidlets, Andrew is passionately a family man and loves to spend time with his wife, kids and extended family. Trained as an automotive and motorcycle mechanic, Andrew writes and records music only in his spare time. Andrew started playing music at about 4 years old picking up drums quickly. During early high school he started experimenting with guitar and piano and started playing these instruments in church alongside his brothers. Since then, Andrew has always been involved in worship teams and did bible college in 2011, working alongside a worship Pastor. pastor Simon Refalo taught him scales and modes on the electric guitar and the basic elements of song-writing and since then Andrew has been writing his own songs to worship and praise God. A notable feature of Andrew's life has been his ongoing battle with depression and inner darkness and this comes out in the lyrics of some songs. Andrew wishes to be able to identify with others who struggle with the same battles and to create uplifting songs that may one day lead to salvation and healing. Andrew has always felt God gave him his gift of music to lead others in praise and worship and no matter where life takes him, you can expect to find him most Sundays playing and singing in church.
