Raised between Aboriginal communities in the outback, and Darwin, Daughter's sound is unique and hard to fit into a genre - indie/folk/gospel (with a couple of jazz numbers thrown in) is probably close. Firmly believing that "Life and death are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits", she is passionate about singing life into the world, adding much needed positivity and hope.
